Updating access table
Now run the qry Update Album Prices query found in the same database (see Figure 1-17).This action query will take the Purchase Price values from tbl Albums Updated and copy it into the Purchase Price field in tbl Albums for each record where the two Album ID fields match and the price value in tbl Albums is currently null. When the query is finished, open tbl Albums again—you should see that the Purchase Price field in this table has been updated based on the values in tbl Albums Updated (see Figure 1-18).You can use update queries in Access to update the values in a target table, and you can use another table to supply the values for the update. You can select multiple tables by holding down the Update Query from the popup menu.Next, build the query like the one below: This query will update the MFG field in the Bot table with the value in the MFG field in the Big table when the PART values match.
Go to Data View of Job_data Table, you can now select a position.
(Row Source is what you can select in Combo Box) If you don’t know SQL, click on the …
button on the right of Row Source, then you will go to Query Builder interface.
Allow Value List Edits is optional, but it can help you quickly edit list items in Data View.
You can do it with Combo Box or List Box, as both Properties in Lookup tab are extremely similar (both allow multiple selection).
